The Linksys E2100L is an entry level wireless router with USB storage option. The USB port can be used with USB external hard drive or flash drives. It can be thought of as the E1000 with USB storage. Unlike the E2000, the E2100L does not offer dual band wireless capabilities or gigabit ethernet.

The new Cisco Connect Software replaces the Network Magic software previously offered by Linksys for easy networking setup. It also allows for a separate password protected network just for guests, simplified parental controls and advanced network settings. The E2100L offers single band B/G/N wireless with up to 300Mbps speed and 4 10/100 ethernet ports. The USB port and UPnP feature allows for file sharing and media streaming over the network by connect external storage devices to the router via USB. The E2100L is advertised as an enthusiast model with upgradable antennas and Linux operating system.
