Linksys RVS4000

The Linksys RVS4000 is a 4-port, full-duplex 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) security engine for creating encrypted IPSec tunnels via the Internet. It can connect directly to four PCs, or to additional hubs and switches to create a large business network. In addition, the RVS4000 utilizes QoS (Quality of Service) to ensure consistent voice and video quality, even if the IP (Internet Provider) is running slow. Most notable about the RVS4000 are its SPI Firewall and Intrusion Protection that provide a thorough barrier, preventing hackers from infiltrating the network. Overall however, the RVS4000 does lack some of the advanced security features that may be needed for a more high-tech network. The Linksys RVS4000 retails for $129.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
