The Linksys WRT54GS is a Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster technology that enhances wireless network performance by up to 35%. A child of the WRT54G series, the WRT54GS differs from its ‘father’ only in that it offers additional RAM, flash memory, and the aforementioned SpeedBooster software. Like the original unit, the WRT54GS utilizes a single 2.4GHz channel that is compliant with both 802.11g and 802.11b networks. In addition, the WRT54GS features a Wireless Access Point, as well as a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 switch for connecting directly to wired-Ethernet devices.
