The Lite-On iHOS104 is an affordable, yet high-powered internal 4x Blu-ray player that handles BD, DVD, and CD discs. Although it doesn’t write and the reading speeds are relatively poor, the unit is considered revolutionary due to its included Cyberlink TrueTheater HD technology & software. Once cooked via a Serial ATA interface to a compatible PC, users can employ the included software to upscale their disc-content up to 1080p, thereby greatly enhancing conventional standard-definition content. It also helps turn 480p content large and detailed enough for large-sized mediums, such as a projector screen.
