The Logitech Harmony 785 is a multifunction, programmable remote control released in 2006. As the successor to the Harmony 875, it sports a redesigned button layout and shape. Functionality, save for the added teletext buttons, remains largely the same. The user will find a backlit color display on its top, plus a numeric keypad, numerous programmable selection keys, a navigation pad and side mounted keys as well. The Harmony 785 features a rechargeable battery that typically lasts a week before needing to be recharged in the included dock. This universal remote can control up to 15 devices simultaneously, including a wide range of TVs, digital set-top boxes, DVRs, Satellites, DVD players, VHS machines, amplifiers, game consoles, media center PCs and more. Logitech’s remote can be updated over USB 2.0 to support new hardware devices at any time via the manufacturer’s website, which is accessible through the included installation CD.
