Logitech Webcam C260
$40.00
Released June, 2010
The Pros:Good manufacturer warranty - 2 years. Value - provides 720p video capture for less money than some competing webcams. Easy setup - most users will have the webcam up and running with their favorite app in minutes.
The Cons:Lacks official support for Mac and Linux platforms. Limited uses for a HD webcam - only a small handful of internet video chat apps consistently support HD video at the resolution advertised (720p). Poor stand - can fall off a monitor fairly easily if touched.
The Logitech Webcam C260 is one of two PC webcams released in June 2010. As an upgrade from the C210, the Webcam C260 offers 720p video capture and video calling, which means the images being captured will be displayed much more clearly for viewers.

It also hosts an improved 3MP still image sensor. Otherwise a duplicate, the C260 inherits a plethora of features, including RightSound technology, which ensures clear conversations without distracting background noise; RightLight technology, which automatically accommodates for bad lighting conditions; and Logitech Vid HD, which is a software that automatically handles all video conversations. And like its counterpart, the Logitech Webcam C260 is compatible with all IM clients and comes with a convenient universal clip.
