The Galaxy Nexus is a touchscreen smartphone from the Samsung company. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a 7 inch tablet running Google's Android mobile operating system (version 2.2 aka Froyo). It uses a customized version (TouchWiz UI 3.0) of Android's user interface similar to the ones used for Samsung's Galaxy S Android handsets. It will most likely have a similar hardware configuration to the smaller Galaxy S handset. With over 60,000 application to choose from in the Android market, a multi-touch on-screen keyboard, gyroscope and accelerometer, the Galaxy Tab competes directly with Apple's iOS-based tablet, the iPad.

The Samsung Captivate (SGH-i897 in the US, SGH-i896 in Canada) is a high-end smartphone running Google's Android version 2.1 on AT&T (US) or Rogers (Canada). Being a Samsung Galaxy S line phone, the Samsung Captivate is essentially the North American version of the international Galaxy S as it sports basically the same specs and features: a 4-inch Super-AMOLED display, 7.2Mbps HSPA, a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, 5 megapixel camera with 720p recording, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 802.11n WiFi and 16GB of onboard storage (expandable to 48GB via microSD). At the time of its release, the Samsung Hummingbird integrates the most powerful graphics accelerator found in mobile phone processors: Its PowerVR SGX540 processes 28 MPolys/s and 1Gpx/s@200MHz. As a comparison, the iPhone 4 and 3GS use the SGX535 (14 MPolys/s, 1Gpx/s@200MHz) and Motorola's Droid X uses the SGX530 (14 MPolys/s, 500Mpx/s@200MHz). The Samsung Captivate's US siblings are: T-Mobile Vibrant, Verizon Fascinate, and Sprint Epic 4G.

Differing from the international version of the Galaxy S, the Captivate does not feature a front-facing camera, has a different body design, and has four main buttons on the front (instead of three).

The Samsung UN46D6000 is an Internet-ready 32” LED-LCD HDTV released as a direct downgrade from the UN46D6300. Like its counterpart, the UN46D6000 hosts an ultra clear panel with LED backlighting, both of which work in conjunction with Auto Motion Plus technology to deliver high quality, full 1080p HD video content with clear colors and zero distortion. There’s also an integrated Dolby Digital chip that works in conjunction with a digital audio output to allow users to listen to music and videos through their own custom, at-home surround sound theater system. What separates the UN46D6000 from its predecessor, however, is its lack of a web browser. The Samsung Epic 4G Touch is a subsidized Samsung Galaxy S II offering released in September 2011. This phone shouldn't be confused with the Samsung Epic 4G which bears a similar name but is a very different smart phone. The Epic 4G Touch has been upgraded to Android 2.3.4, dual-core CPU and a larger 4.5" Super AMOLED screen. It features both a front-facing and rear-facing camera (with flash). Unlike the Epic 4G, this phone does not have a keyboard.

Announced and demonstrated at the CTIA 2010, the Galaxy S is Samsung's first Android device featuring its own 1GHz Cortex-A8 based ARM application processor named "Hummingbird" (labeled as "Apple A4" in the iPad and iPhone 4) which also integrates hardware graphics acceleration (PowerVR SGX540 core). Samsung 7 Series (2008)

The Samsung 750 series, also known as the 7 series is positioned above the 650 series, which are also considered part of the high-end sets, with many similarities between the two. As expected from a high-end 2008 LCD the 750 series features a native resolution of 1080p, a 120Hz mode. Alongside these standards is the addition of an Ethernet port for accessing real-time content like weather, stocks and news, and a USB port for accessing pictures and video from connected storage devices. Importantly, the 7 series has a subwoofer and much better sound than both 6-series and 8-series televisions. While the 6 series has a USB port, the 6 series is limited to images/sound while the 7 series televisions can display video from both the USB port and through the ethernet port.

750 series specific features

DLNA Support - Stream video, image, and music content over your home network. The TV has support for a wide variety of CODECs including DivX and XVid, and can support hi-def resolutions.

USB Port - The USB port lets you connect storage devices such as portable hard drives, or thumb drives and access the content within. Details aren't currently available but most like the TV can read content stores on devices that act as a USB Mass Storage (UMS) device.

1GB of Internal Memory - It's unknown whether or not you will be able to overwrite the content stored on this internal memory. Samsung reports that it will come preloaded with "premium" content such as HD art, recipes and children's stories.

Integrated woofer - for an enhanced audio experience (10W x 2, like the 650 model.)

750 and 650 features

"Touch of Color" - in a break away from the traditional black or really black choices that most televisions offer Samsung is introducing a little bit of color to these sets. During the manufacturing process the bevel has some color applied to it, with auburn being the initial option and more colors expected over time.

Ethernet port - the included ethernet port will allow you to access RSS feeds and other real time content to display sports information, news, stocks and weather. It's currently unknown whether other forms of content such as full Internet access will be available in the future.

4 HDMI ports - the lower level series feature 3 HDMI ports, with the high-end models adding an extra HDMI port for more expandability. All HDMI ports are version 1.3.

Anti-glare screen - first introduced in the Samsung's 71F series of television released in 2007, Samsung claims they have improved the glossy anti-glare screen to reduce glare and reduce reflections.

3D support - the televisions can accept and properly display 3D content. If you have the proper glasses and source conent the TV will handle 3D images.

The Samsung UN40D6000 is an Internet-ready 40” LED HDTV released as a more affordable counterpart to the superior UN40D6300. It offer the same full high definition video capabilities, LED backlighting, and ultra-slim frame, as well as Internet connectivity. Unlike its peer, however, the UN40D6000 doesn’t include a web browser. What’s interesting though is that users can still access many browser-centric Internet services like Hulu, YouTube, and even Facebook courtesy of Samsung’s Smart TV Application system. Plus the TV includes Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) compatibility, meaning content can be streamed to the HDTV from compatible devices like desktops, laptops, tablets, and even some media players. Added to that, there’s a USB port that supports digital camcorders, which means users can just plug in their camera or camcorder and immediately access their footage. Samsung Wave 3 is a continuation of the metallic cased Wave line of handsets featuring a four inch 800 x 480 super AMOLED touch display and 1.4GHz processor. This is the most advanced in the series and uses the latest Samsung Bada 2.0 operating system which is not yet supported in North America. Free apps are included like the cross-OS group messaging service called ChatON, TouchWiz, Samsung Apps and social and music hubs. On board RAM is 512MB with an additional 3GB of built in storage, and there is a MicroSD card slot for expanding the memory. Other smart phone necessities included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and 5MP camera with 720p video recording and LED flash. This new technology (2011) has the capability to search through media-streaming services for specific content, as well as make recommendations. He player can also handle 3D Blu-ray discs, though it doesn’t offer 2D-to-3D conversion like its counterpart, the BD-D670. It can however upconvert standard content to full 1080p HD. Its signature feature is its ability to access Samsung Apps, which means it can stream Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, Vandora, and much more. Plus it’s DLNA-compliant, which means it can also stream content from a PC. The DualView PL120 is the entry level offering in Samsung's 2011 line of digital cameras which feature an extra LCD display on the front of the camera for taking self portraits. Like the next model in this release called the PL170, the front screen is 1.5" whereas the top of the line ST700 has a 1.8" front screen. It also does not have HDMI output like the other two models and features a 14.2 megapixel sensor instead of 16.1 found in those cameras. All three however have a 26mm wide angle lens and 5x optical zoom, 720p HD movie recording capability and Smart 2.0 filters for image manipulation such as fish-eye, soft focus, half-tone dot, cinema, miniature, sketch and others. Easy Self Shot turns off the 2.7" LCD display on the back for added privacy when taking a self portrait, and you can select different picture frames to be added to an image with the Magic Frame feature.
