The Sony HomeShare SA-NS400 is an upper mid-cost multimedia speaker. This speaker is equipped with Sony's PartyStream function, which allows you to put the same audio on all of your PartyStream devices at the same time. The SA-NS400 comes with an included remote control, and you can also download the free iPhone/iPod touch/Android device app that allows you to use your device as a remote. With integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), this speaker wirelessly streams digital music from DLNA enabled PCs, or BRAVIA Internet music services when connected to Sony Blu-ray Disc devices. BRAVIA's Internet music services give you access to music sites like Pandora and Slacker. The auxiliary input of the SA-NS400 allows you to plug in other music sources, such as MP3 players. This model differs from the lower cost SA-NS300 multimedia speaker in that it is more powerful (with four two-way tweeters and a subwoofer built in, as opposed to the SA-NS300's one-way, one driver speaker system). It’s relatively small and compact, as it’s intended to be portable, thereby making it useful for carrying it around with a notebook or other portable music device. The Sony SRS-Z50 is a computer speaker available either by itself or in a pair. As a more affordable downgrade from the SRS-Z100, the SRS-Z50 speakers lack an integrated amplifier unit and therefore output only 5W. Like its peer however, the magnetically shielded Z50 speakers are lightweight and portable, making them especially useful for on-the-go users who rely on a notebook or other portable music device. Despite its weak power output, it does host a Mega Boost function that allows it to deliver slightly louder/more booming audio, although it still lacks tremendously versus its predecessor.

Introduced in the middle of September 2008 to be released soonafter in Europe, the HT-FS1 is an inexpensive 2.1 speaker system from Sony. Aimed at recent consumers of middle to high end flat panel televisions, the HT-FS1 is designed to be a drastic improvement on their smaller embedded speaker systems which are often poor due to lack of power, bass, and stereo separation. Sporting 3 HDMI in ports and a single output, the speakers, which are connected by the subwoofer unit support Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby ProLogic, and Dual Mono. With no MSRP or release date announced, interested parties have pointed out the similarity to the HT-CT100, estimating the system will cost around $300. There is also no guarantee that the system will appear state-side.
