This new ball is made of a synthetic microfibre composite material in two "Cross Traxxion" panels instead of the traditional leather fashioned into eight separate panels. Spalding worked closely with ex-players Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr to deliver a ball that they say has a better grip and feel, provides more consistent performance, and requires no break in period.
