ThinkGeek Joystick-It

The Joystick-It is a joystick from ThinkGeek that is designed specifically for the Apple iPad. Constructed of milled aluminum, the lightweight device adheres temporarily to iPad's screen and optimizes user control for classic arcade-style games including Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga and Centipede. A simplistic press-on design ensures that the Joystick-It's base will not harm the device display, and is easily re-positionable for switching games. The lack of any wires or batteries makes the Joystick-It a fairly compact unit, and will likely appeal to users who desire a more tactile peripheral when playing games on a touchscreen device. Though optimized for the Apple iPad, the stick will work on any device that features a capacitive display.

The ThinkGeek TK-421 is an iPhone case with a flip out keyboard, enabling you to type with a tactile feedback of a regular keyboard. It comes with two different models - one for the iPhone 3GS and another for the iPhone 4.

The TK-421 flips out for use, and then flips back in when you're done, and has a magnet based clasp that keeps the keyboard in position. It works with any of the iPhone apps, including email, notes, web browsing, and texting. This case allows you to increase your typing accuracy and speed through its precise, hard click-type keys, instead of soft rubber keys, or typing on the glass screen. It comes with a completely wireless Bluetooth connection that doesn't use the typical dock connector, and the keyboard is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery that recharges through the USB cable.

LED Blow on/off Candle

This 'candle' is actually an LED light that simulates the feel of candlelight through a flickering effect. The candle body is made from plastic but is covered with a waxy coating to give it more of a realistic candle-like feel. These candles are similar to the Flameless Wax Candle with one major difference - they actually turn off when you blow on them. By responding to the puff of air caused by blowing on them, the LED turns off and conversely, also turns on when you blow on it in the off state. They have a master switch on the bottom to enable this functionality. The candles run on 2 AA batteries that can last up to 300 hours. Dimensions: diameter - 3 inches, height - 4, 5 or 6 inches.

Bliptronic 5000 LED Synthesizer

The Bliptronic 5000 LED Synthesizer is an inexpensive music synthesizer built primarily for entertainment purposes. It can produce 8-bit bleeps/bloops at varying tempos based on the buttons pressed. The whole system revolves around a constantly changing 4-beat pattern. Each button in a row represents a note from one octave. By pushing a button, a note is turned off, and vice versa. If multiple notes are pressed, then a chord is formed. The Synthesizer basically plays all notes horizontally; the ingenuity comes from turning notes on/off while the pattern still loops. Signature to the unit is that it can be attached to an infinite # of Bliptronics via link ports and cables, allowing a group of friends to create a long song where everybody takes part.

Additional Information

Additional features include tempo buttons (60-160BPM), instrument choices (8 retro-synth sounds), and volume/loop adjustments.

Once turned on, it will emit a short, annoying beep ranging between 2 kHz and 12 kHz every 2 to 8 minutes. Turn it on, hide it, and let the fun begin as you watch your friend/coworker/family member desperately try and find this annoying noise maker. It is very tiny so the culprit can get creative by hiding it in hard to find places. Beware: The device will likely be returned to you smashed by the victim.

You're probably thinking, "Oh, the title is just a misprint, it's actually SOLAR powered." Except you'd be wrong. This is a water powered calculator and clock that has a reservoir to store up to 2 months worth of power. The great thing is that the set is sleek enough to sit on your desk at work, and cool enough to take into meetings. When someone asks for a quick calculation, just pass over your water calculator and watch their reaction as they hear the distinct swish of the reservoir.

The original retro handset started off as more of a joke, with its old-school design and aesthetic. But as it turns out, it's quite useful for people who talk on their cell phones a lot and don't enjoy the cumbersome earpieces typically available. The Bluetooth edition of the retro handset is a great added bonus to this idea, with a range of up to 30 feet and the ability to make a receive calls.
