Floorcloths are original paintings created on a heavy canvas that is first shrunk, and then used as rugs. Each canvas is individually painted with two coats of primer, 3 to 4 coats of acrylic paints for depth of colour and sealed with seven coats of water base varnish on top and 5 coats on the bottom, finished with two coats of non yellowing wax. Each painting is an original piece of art signed and dated. Floorcloths have become a fashionable alternative to area rugs. They are water/stain resistant, durable, and easy to care for.
