Marshall Major (2010)
$100.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Plain, old-looking, environmentally friendly packaging. Slick Marshall aesthetics - retro and hip. Can be folded into themselves for easy transportation.
The Cons:Tight on your ears - supra-aural design gets uncomfortable after an hour or so of use. Take a bit of juice to sound their best - not as good as they could be on an iPod.

The vinyl headband of these headphones is made of the same material as that used in Marshall amplifiers. These headphones are a step up from the lower cost Minor model in that the Major has an over-ear design, a larger transducer (40mm as opposed to 15.4mm), higher sensitivity (121 ± 3dB AT 1kHz 1mW as opposed to 115 ± 3dB AT 1kHz 1mW), and more rated/maximum input power (15mW/20mW as opposed 2mW/5mW).
