Maxtor MobileMax

The Maxtor MobileMax is an internal laptop 2.5" hard drive disk with storage capacities ranging from 40GB to 120 GB. It targets mainstream laptops, whitebook PC computers and external storage applications that require a value station with desktop-like performance and lower power consumption. Maxtor comes as part of the Seagate family of brands and products.  It has 5400 RPM performance benefits giving desktop like performance. It a has shock resistance capacity that is inline with Seagates other drives such as the Momentus series, and beats other manufacturers in that field such as Toshiba in its MK series (350g operating, 900g non operating vs 325g operating/ 850g non operating). Some critics alledge that Maxtor drives in general are known for firmware problems that results in producing sounds like futuristic cell phone melody, clicking sounds, and scratching and ticking sounds.
