The Maytag MBR2256KE is a 21.90 cu. ft. capacity freezer-on-bottom Energy Star® Qualified refrigerator that relies on a dependable electronic Dual Cool system that automatically optimizes cooling by monitoring the temperatures in both the fresh food compartment and the freezer. An upgrade from the Maytag MBL1956K, the Maytag MBR2256KE supports a larger capacity of 21.90 cubic ft. (versus 18.60), but in all other ways is exactly the same as its predecessor. For instance, the MBR2256KE also features Spill-Catcher shelves that hold in liquid for easy cleanup, FreshLock crispers with humidity control for fresher fruits/vegetables, and a Glide-Out freezer drawer with SmoothClose drawer tracks for easy opening and closing of the drawer.
