The Maytag MSD2242V is a 21.7 cu.ft. side-by-side refrigerator that is Energy Star qualified. The fridge features an electronic cubed/crushed ice and water dispenser with mechanical controls and a built-in PUR push-button filter complete with a change filter indicator. The freezer side of the MSD2242V includes an adaptive defrost feature to prevent freezer burn and ice buildup and an integrated icemaker and ice cube bin. It also has 3 wire shelves and slide-out storage bins to maximize freezer storage space. The fresh food side of the fridge features Maytag's Standard interior lighting package and a number of storage features including a gallon-plus door bins and adjustable spillproof shelves. It also offers an adjustable temperature deli drawer and sealed automatic humidity crispers to keep foods like fruit, vegetables, and meat fresh for longer. The fridge is available in a black, white, satina stainless, or stainless steel finish and comes with a 1 year limited warranty. It shares all the same features as Maytag's MSD2542V and only differs from it by being 3.4 cu.ft. smaller in capacity.
