Media Gate MG-350HD

The MediaGate MG-350HD by is a high-end media extender. A Media Extender is a device that can stream video, photos and audio stored on the internal hard drive directly to your TV or home theater system. It can also provide streaming of media files from a locally networked PC. The MG-350HD can be equipped with up to a 750GB IDE hard drive for media file storage. The MG-350HD can also connect to your computer through an ethernet port, or through 802.11b/g wi-fi. The hard drive can be controlled through buttons on the casing, or with the provided remote. The device includes support for the following formats: Movie: MPEG 1, 2, 4 (MPG, MPEG, AVI, M2V, DAT, VOB, etc) , XviD (Except GMC, Qpel option applied); Music: MP3, OGG Vorbis, WMA; and Photo: JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG. The rear panel of the device includes several connections such as USB device/host ports, DVI out, S-Video out, digital coaxial out, component-video out, Ethernet, optical out for 5.1 audio, composite-video out, stereo RCA audio outs, and an antenna connection for connection through a wireless signal. It should be noted that videos, wirelessly streamed from a PC, in both standard and HD formats stutter and lose sync easily; the best way to experience streaming videos is the wireless streaming option straight from an installed hard drive which is not included. The Mediagate MG-350HD was released in May, 2007 and has an MSRP of $229.

I still love the XBMC as a media streamer, but the fact that this plays HD is a huge advantage.
