Pros
- I like the zoom button, it retains the proportions of the image unlike some options available on my other brand unit.
- I like the fact that it's easy to setup and it's small too.
Cons
- RF output died after less than 2 weeks of use.
- loses channels every few days
- standby button should be renamed "erase" button because it erases the channel programming, requiring the channels to be rescanned every time you use it, either intentionally to shut the box off, or unintentionally pressing it or thinking it will
turn the TV off.

Pros
- None- can't turn the unit on.
Cons
- The on-off switch doesn't work properly on the unit I purchased. It rarely turns green, usually red and then dims out and off. I plan to return it for an exchenge. Waste of time and effort. The store will not take it back for exchange.

vs.
Zenith DTT900
MSRP $50.00

Pros

- Parental Control
Cons
- On-Screen Program Guide is even more basic than others DTV converters.
Memorex MVCB1000
vs.
RCA DTA 800
MSRP $60.00
Released January, 2008
Pros
- Eligible for $40 government coupon
- On-Screen Program Guide
- Small size
Cons
- If the unit is on for too long it will freeze, starting with the video, then the audio, after it is totally locked it will power off for about 20 seconds, then go through a full restart, including downloading the program guide. This means that you will be without use of the unit for about 5 minutes, a disaster when you are recording from the unit. If you don't catch it quick enough when it starts to lock up you can NOT force it to recycle.
- More expensive than some other DTV Converters.
- There are only 5 timers, the timer display does not show the start time, & the unit doesn't shut off when the timer ends. The worst thing about the timers is that they don't always turn the unit on!!!
