August 22, 2009 at 10:55 pm

"I Bought this camera after thorough research, a very difficult choice as these days each digital camera manufacturer has a special feature a step above the other, but Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ-50 got my attention not just for its documented features but also I practically used the camera ( friend's TZ-5 model - without wi-fi) and was rightaway mesmerised by it's versality, quality & clearity of HD quality stills and especially videos for this class of camera. My first photo shoot with this camera was on our family trip to New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Baltimore, Maryland, Indiana, Pensylvania & Philidepphia. The result - was just amazing, we had used three different cameras on this trip and the speciality of this camera on others was that on IA mode even in late evening the picture quality was way ahead of our other two cameras (they BTW are also state of the art cameras in their class but I won't name them for I respect every camera manufacturer). The HD video quality shot with Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ-50 was incredibly way ahead of any still digital camera in the market anywhere in the world right now, hold your breath - in this PRIZE RANGE camera of below $500. Heads of to Panasonic for using Leica lens to creat this marvel. My word go with your requirements of photoshoots and choose the camera, in terms of picture quality in it's class this camera is the best and it's Made In Japan....oops. Last but not the least what really pleased me at end of the day was that I almost got 325 stills and 3 videos on one charge so battery capacity is just incredible, but while using it's wi-fi feature the battery life was severly affected, maybe in their next model Panasonic will look into that as well. Now rest assured I'm in no way associated with Panasonic, neither do I work for them nor do I have their stock, so for my personal views and any help on this model please feel free to contact me at 4mmair at gmail dotcom for any professional advice please contact Panasonic directly.
