The Microsoft Explorer Mouse is a rechargeable wireless BlueTrack mouse that connects to a Windows or Macintosh PC via a mini USB transceiver. It relies on Microsoft’s BlueTrack technology, which combines optical and laser technology into a more precise tracking system that works on any kind of surface, including carpet and granite. Included is a charging base that when used, provides enough charging power for the mouse to function for 3 whole weeks. As for connectivity, the mouse uses a snap-in mini transceiver that can be tucked into the mouse for storage/carrying, and that transmits from a computer — after being plugged in — through 2.4GHz wireless technology for a maximum range of 30’. Additonal features include blue lighting effects, 4-way scrolling, and customizable buttons.
