The Microsoft SideWinder X5 is a new right-handed only mouse. Released in August 2008, the X5 has nine buttons, five of which are completely programmable, and includes one which allows gamers instant access to their games, and another which changes the DPI settings which are instantly applied. Similar to the SideWinder X6, the X5 allows users to create customizable mouse movement macros with included software.

- Cheaper than most gaming mouses
Cons
- Is not ambidextrous
- Only 2 buttons on the left
- Plastic
quality build (feels cheap)
- It's like a ball near the palm, get's all sweaty, and you are forced to use what gamers call "Claw grip"
