Hey guys, so let's do some trouble shooting here.  Something must have changed in the overall setup because these things don't magically do things on their own.  So if you can think back and remember something that might have changed, either with the Xbox (maybe you upgraded the dash?), the network (new router? new computer attached?) or the computer themselves (new OS?) that would help things out immensely.

Also, just to do some general tests, can you guys access the Internet at all with the Xbox?  That is, when you launch XBMC, do you see the RSS feeds coming in through?  Can you ftp to your Xbox from your computer?

So obviously there are a lot of possibilities here, and we need to narrow things down to come up with a solution. But I'm sure it's not a big problem and should be fixed soon enough.

yes i removed mcafee, then reinstalled bitdefender pro

Ok, so the RSS feeds are working meaning that your Xbox is connected to the Internet just fine.

I'm pretty sure the problem is your new firewall, I imagine that Bitdefender Pro is messing things up.  And ya, looking at the BitDefender website the professional version includes a firewall, so I'm like 99% certain that's the problem.  Check out the bitdefender firewall settings and see how restrictive it is in regards to opening up ports and that kind of thing.  If you're not familiar with how to configure a firewall... well I guess I can try to help you out with that but I'm not expert!  Hopefully the help manual and such should be of service, but ya, it's definitely got to do with BitDefender.

Ok, you can't see your Xbox eh... hmmm

but the Xbox is still connected to the Internet.  And they're on the same network... do you know the IP address of the Xbox?  And can you at least ping it?
