Xbox Live with XBMC mod

Hello,
I have a question. Can I still use xbox live after doing this mod? It seems as if I should, becuase I haven't actually changed any hardware. In the guide, it says if I start the xbox using the eject button it goes to XBMC, but if I start it with the regular power it will go to the xbox dashboard. That gives me the impression that as long as you start the xbox with the power button, you can use xbox live. Any thoughts?

Attempted the big button vs. little button and it didn't work.  XBL came up every time.  How do I get back to XBMC?

I'm confused as to what you mean.

You are able to go to on Xbox Live if you turn your console on with the little button and a game pre-loaded in the tray.

If you turn your Xbox on with the little button without a game loaded, then it will go to XBMC. If you want to get to XBMC once the game launches, just press the eject button.

When I press the little button without a game loaded, the XBL page will load.  When the big button is pressed without a game, the XBL page loads.  I've tried many things such as holding down the little/big button, pressing the X,Y,A,B,white, or black button when it loads but I have had no luck getting back to XBMC. 

I am a total rookie with this.  Do I need to re-attempt the exploit with my Splinter Cell disk to get back to the XBMC capabilities?
