Help with setting up XBMC

	Outstanding. You rock. But.... Got dashboard 5960 and started answering the prompts. First one: UDE The next question wasn't specifically in your How-to, "Select a Bios" The choices were X2 4981 and Evox M8. Since I knew I was going to select Evox as my dashboard, I picked Evox M8. Third question: Evox Dashboard Some Linixy text messages appear.. Button goes orange, starts to blink and spin the CD, then the xBox powers off. Everything comes up nornally when I power up, but with out the mod. Should I select the X2 Bios or is there something else going on. Thanks again!!

	What happens when you turn the Xbox on without Mech Assault in the tray? If you have the game in the tray, the game will bypass the mod. (This goes as well for 24.1.246.173).

	If I turn it own with no game, I get the same xbox dashboard as before, no new options, no new dashboard. Should I try the X2 4981 bios?

	Try the other BIOS loader, it's worth a try. Also, can you tell me what happens when you turn the Xbox on using the eject button?

	Is there any way that I can copy the gamesave linux file to my xbox using my network? It would end up saving me thirty bucks if I could (i am a student =P )

	Same results if I power on the Xbox with the eject button and no game loaded. When I invoke the Run Linix command and start trying to run through the install again, after selecting "UDE Install" I get the message: ERROR (line 1): (callscript) "ActionScript file failed execution I get the same error if I try to select UDE Uninstall. I'm going to try to delete Run Linix and reload from the memory card to see if I can resolve the error message.

	Thank you for all your replies here, Erik. Your assurances that I will still be able to connect to Live safely have convinced me to give XBMC a try tonight!

Now, you can use a USB thumb drive if you have an adapter to hook up to your controller. However, this requires an adapter and the USB thumbdrive which will likely cost more than the $25. Anyway, the finished product is well worth the price.
