Help with setting up XBMC

ok I got an xbox and evrything needed to softmod the xbox

but everytime i try to copy the files from my memory card to my xbox the files will not copy to the xbox

is there something i have to do to the xbox before i copy the files?

I've recently tried to install xbmc on my xbox. As of now, everything has gone well except for one thing. I've been using the mass stroage device approach because I do not have access to an action replay. When i put the files on my thumb drive and i insert the thumb drive into my homemade female usb/xbox cord and i go to the memory tab on my dashboard and i get the error: "Memory device is not functioning. It may be damaged." It is not damaged as it works fine on the computer. I'm thinking it may be a driver problem. can anyone help me?

I first installed xbmc about two years ago and had pretty much ignored it since then. i just moved the files into the dashboard folder so it would load straight up, and now it does. only problem is that i can't see it on my network, can't ftp to it  or anything. I want to upgrade it so badly, cos ican't do anything with it (the few links to shared folders are now out of date) . Any ideas why i can't connect to it?

Can some one review how to setup an xbox xbmx to go to shoutcast, it used to work on my xbox but no longer works, I failed to find any documentation on it.

So I softmodded my Xbox with no problems. (unleash X system now) Everything seems to work fine, FTP included. I downloaded XBMC from a recommended site and unrared all the folders out. Then FTP'd them over to the apps folder on my xbox.  Free included software w/ softmod all words fine.

Everytime i try and run the app xbmc I get the splash screen for the XBMC then I get a black screen with red lettering reading
"XBMC Fatal Error:
No suitable skin version found.
We require at least version 2.0000"

Any ideas what is causing this issue for me? Any suggestions about what I can try to solve it?

EDIT

Using the latest released solve the whole problem. I was using only the stable releases before.

I have the mn-740 microsoft wireless adapter. I can't for the life of me get this thing working. When I power it up and hook it up to my soft-modded xbmc the thing will recognize my dd-wrt modded router. But when I insert the password to connect to my router, it says "invalid security key for this security type. Please try again." I know I'm putting in the right password. This is so f'n frustrating. If there's anyone out there that can help...
