Released in September of 2008 the Mitsubishi HC 6500 LCD projector is designed with their diamond iris system to calibrate and adjust for differences in color, hue and clarity from scene to scene. This also leads to an improved contrast over previous models and series at 15,000:1. Mitsubishi has also increased the brightness by 20% from the preceding model intended to portray ambient light more accurately or project to a larger screen. The projector is equipped with a lamp rated for 2000 hours of enjoyment and a newly developed fan to decrease noise. Connect to the HC 6500 via component, composite and HDMI inputs from a variety of sources.
