MLB 11: The Show
$49.99
Released March, 2011
The Pros:Best baseball game currently available for any system - hard to improve on perfection. Player models are highly detailed, move realistically. Analogue controls make game control a lot more intuitive, natural and precise - fun and difficult to master.
The Cons:PS3 only. Not much to add to an already great game franchise - not a huge upgrade over MLB 10 if you're not a die-hard fan who needs the latest. Background stadium graphics are left behind - PS3 doesn't provide enough raw power?
MLB 11: The Show is a sports video game that simulates Major League Baseball, and that was released for the Playstation Portable, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3 gaming consoles. As an upgrade from the 2010 title, MLB 10, The Show features a new Pure Analog Control System that allows players to control their offensive and defensive players, which makes it much easier to hit, pitch, and field.

Users can still pitch their buttons, but using the analog stick guarantees a higher chance of a quality pitch. Also included with this upgrade of the Major League Baseball video game franchise is a two player co-op mode for online and offline gameplay. The online co-op includes a weekly challenge in which players can compete for real-life prizes like TVs or a vacation. Another new feature is the option to train and customize an avatar from the bottom to the draft. This was also in MLB 10, but the new upgraded mode is much more robust and difficult.

analogue control scheme could be better - batting and throwing from the field feel somewhat disconnected and awkward
