The Motorola Barrage is a rugged mobile phone developed by Motorola and released through Verizon Wireless in October 2009. It is especially built for outdoor use, as it is clad in chrome, glass, mesh, and rubber for enhanced resistance. Note also that its been proven to endure up to 1 meter of water for over 30 minutes. All-together, the Barrage can handle high/low temperatures, rainy weather, shock, vibration, and even a salty fog. It doesn’t disappoint with its inner components either, as it hosts a 2MP camera/camcorder for video capture and playback; VZ Navigator for on-the-go GPS access; and both V-Cast Music AND V-Cast Video services (subscriptions required). Most neat about the Barrage is its Push-to-Talk capability, which emulates Boost Mobile’s notorious walkie-talkie-like feature.
