The Defy is running Android 2.1 Eclair and has Motorola's own user interface (Motoroblur version 1.5). The hanset is setting itself apart from other smartphones through CrystalTalk Plus (filtering out background noise), DLNA compatibility, the preinstalled Swype keyboard, and its ruggedness. The latter includes an impact and scratch resistant Gorilla glass, a dust proof and water resistant casing, and IP67 durability spec compliance.
