Motorola MILESTONE

The Motorola MILESTONE is the international (GSM) version of the original US-based Motorola Droid (November 2009, Verizon Wireless). It was released in Germany through O2 and Vodafone, then in Canada through the Telus Network in 2010, and then later on throughout the rest of the world. Unlike the Droid, MILESTONE is equipped with support for HSPA rather than EV-DO Rev A. Additional changes include Motorola’s Motonav application instead of Google Maps Navigation, pinch to zoom, 8GB instead of 16GB memory, and the addition of an acclaimed multitouch functionality. The rest of the features are inherited from the original Droid, including a 3.7” touchscreen, 5MP camera, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, and WiFi.

Still strange why the DROID in the U.S. doesn't have multi-touch enabled, and the European version does. And, the Euro-version doesn't include Google Maps Navigation (yet). On the former, there have been rumors that Google and Apple have some sort of a "deal" or "arrangement" that the iPhone would have multi-touch exclusivity, but that being marketing and policy only, and not a fight over intellectual property. But who knows what's really going on behind the scenes.... does anyone else have information on this?

Search function does not include calendar.
Sync does not cover Outlook's notes.
Keyboard is very flat and slow to write.
Micro USB charging is not standard; other chargers with micro USB connector will not charge.
OS freezes constantly.
Many Android market apps will install but cause problems.
Battery does not last all day.
Motorola will not release firmware update or the roadmap for it.
Operating is close to impossible with one hand.
I'm bit disappointed with my dear Moto, but it suits my Batmobile's color nicely. ;]
