The 2006 Norco Freeride bikes are redesigned to utilize a single-crown, long travel fork. The 2006 model maintains the extra thick head tubes, steel-reinforced seatstays, and large rear axles for rear end stiffness. The 6" travel forks allow the flexibility to run shorter travel or mount a 24" wheel.
For the 2006 models, Norco has tried to improve rider positions by decreasing the fork length, standover height and head tube. This model sports Norco's 4-bar linkage "Horst link" design for the rear suspension system which has received glowing praise from Bike Magazine.
