The 2006 Norco Freeride bikes are redesigned to utilize a single-crown, long travel fork. The 2006 model maintains the extra thick head tubes, steel-reinforced seatstays, and large rear axles for rear end stiffness. The 6" travel forks allow the flexibility to run shorter travel or mount a 24" wheel.
Trance features Giant's award-winning Maestro Suspension design in a 4-inch travel configuration. All Trance models feature the same frame with different shocks and component spec. Added from www.giant-bicycles.com
Norco changed the frame geometry and utilized their own material (M6 Aluminum) to decrease the weight of the 2006 model.
The Six is the successor to Mountain Biking magazine's 2005 Bike of the Year. For 2006, Norco has made only slight adjustments to the bike by decreasing the overall weight.
The Two50 has been built up with tough 4130 double-butted chromoly frames for street riding and dirt jumping. Meant for very long endurance races Norco has made this 2006 bike extremely light. The Fluid uses a 4-bar linkage frame to enhance the efficient transfer of power and minimizes the amount of pedal feedback.

The Dakota Elite’s new-for-’06 chassis takes a page from the road bike design manual, combining Kinesis Superlight triple-butted aluminum with carbon seatstays for stand-on-the-pedals stiffness and a supple ride that would be impossible to duplicate with an all-aluminum frame. We dress it up with Shimano XT derailleurs and shifters, Juicy 5 hydraulics and Manitou’s...
With slacker angles, a higher BB height, and a longer-travel fork than our XC hardtails, the All Mountain Hardtails are at home in a wide variety of riding conditions.
Steel is still the best foundation for a hardtail, and there’s nothing better than Reynolds 853. The air-hardened, heat-treated chrome-moly main tubes give the Team the high-strung feel of a thoroughbred, with the torsional strength to resist big-gear standing climbs and keep the chassis flowing through high-speed bends and G-outs. Rage through the gears,...
