The 2006 Norco Freeride bikes are redesigned to utilize a single-crown, long travel fork. The 2006 model maintains the extra thick head tubes, steel-reinforced seatstays, and large rear axles for rear end stiffness. The 6" travel forks allow the flexibility to run shorter travel or mount a 24" wheel.
For the 2006 models, Norco has tried to improve rider positions by decreasing the fork length, standover height and head tube. This model sports Norco's 4-bar linkage "Horst link" design for the rear suspension system which has received glowing praise from Bike Magazine.
With slacker angles, a higher BB height, and a longer-travel fork than our XC hardtails, the All Mountain Hardtails are at home in a wide variety of riding conditions.
Tapered aluminum main tubes put extra material where you need the strength, while keeping the overall structure light and responsive. And a replaceable derailleur hanger ensures your investment in lightweight aluminum is money well spent. SRAM trigger shifters make quick work out of selecting each of the 24 gears, with a low-maintenance 50mm-travel fork...

The Ryde is designed for a 4-5" travel...

The Exile XC is proof that there’s still room in this world for a classic steel hardtail. Our superbly tuned geometry gives the Exile outstanding climbing traction, with just the right...
