February 20, 2006 at 10:45 pm

ooohhhh lol, i totally missed the uxe uninstall thing, sorry, ill try that

iv used that option, but it generates an invalid unlock key

ok, im having a problem with this, any help would be great. Im stuck trying to get my unlock code for my HD, iv gotten the code, but it doesnt work. In the tutorial it stats "It is important to not use any bios loaders, font hacks, sound hacks, or anything like this as we need a pure key generated for your xbox harddrive." so basically, im thinking if i revert back to my original xbox settings and dashboard (i.e. before starting the XBMC install) and then use the mechassault glitch and use "run linux" and get it from thier, it should be fine. But how do i revert back to before the installation. For instance, if i rename :E/dashboard/ to :E/dashboard_BAK/ will it load up the original dashboard? if not, if if their is an easier way, please let me know.Stone

February 18, 2006 at 7:48 pm

ok, all is right in the world, I reinstalled ITOOLS/MXM, then transfered the files over, and it worked, i must have mispelled dashboard or something, but it works now, thx for this excellent guide and your help.Stone

edited a post

ya, sorry i updated my problem as you where writing that, im gonna try reinstalling it again and hope i simply mispelled dashboard when i transfered the XBMC files...oh and yes, that is teh file i edited, i was able to network it with ease after thatStone

edited a post

hi, great tutorial, but i have a problem, before your revised it, i used it to succsesfully install XBMC on my xbox, so i then whent to try it on my friends xbox, but I used the revised version and used the ltools_MA_v1.8.rc1.zip version of Itools instead. Everything seems to work correctly the exploit "run linux" works fine, and from their i install and follow all of the instructions, but at that point when everything is supposed to be finished (MXM), when i boot up the xbox it goes back to Itools, and i cannot get it to load up the MXM dashboard. So after reinstalling and trying different options, i decided to check here, i saw the network help area, and i changed ITOOLS to "true" for DCHP and i can access it thru ITOOLS and I then transferred the XBMC files over to E drive, which after that was finished, i restarted the xbox, and this time all that it loads up is the stock xbox dashboard (tried using both buttons to at least load up ITOOLS, but i cant because i made Dashboard_BAK)... and now i come to you for help if u can, and tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.Stone
