What movies have you seen lately?

I really want to see Stranger than Fiction, I also want to see Happy Feet (I know its a little kids movie, but those baby penguins are sooo cute.)

hahaha that's so funny. I know someone that is OBSESSED with Happy Feet. We're talking about Desktop background, MSN picture, has seen all the trailers multiple times, etc etc. I do like penguins though, so even if it's a kid's movie I'm willing to go see it. Who knows, it could be the next Lion King or Finding Nemo?  I love The Lion King.

@Omar - Dexter quest is pretty simple - to lead a normal life. I think that's his main mission (while still indulging his psychopathic tendencies, of course). It's a really interesting take on a very stereotypical character type. I mean, how many movies and TV shows have there been about serial killers and their non-humanness? It's pretty ingenious to have found a way to make a serial killer someone you root for. By making him only kill bad people, it's like killing is a forgivable trait that he just happens to have.

I am seeing Stranger Than Fiction tommorow. I hope its good!

Just be aware that Stranger than Fiction is a lot more emotional than funny, don't go in thinking it's going to be like Wedding Crashers or anything like that.

I actually really liked Stranger Than Fiction. You would never expect to see Will Ferrel of all people in this type of movie, but he pulls it off spectacularly. Its a much deeper movie than you might think. Very emotional. Many theatre goers had tears in their eyes. Funny though.

I saw Pirates of the Carribean 2 the other day and found it basically impossible to follow. I don't know if it was because there were a lot of people watching, too much talking, or it just really late, but I couldn't understand what was happening! There were too many ships and pirates and stories within stories. I wished it had stayed on the island where Jack Sparrow was king for a lot longer, those parts were funny.

I saw Pirates recently too, and I have the exact same sentiments (except I didn't think the parts on the island were that funny). The movie was very confusing, and was almost an exact copy of the first one (which is much better). We'll have to wait for Pirates 3 to tie up all the loose ends the second one left.

I also saw Happy Feet in theatres yesterday. Everything looks amazing (especially the penguins). The story might be a little hard to follow for little kids, but is enjoyable enough that the whole family can stand to watch it. The ending was kind of wierd though.
