The Iomega SuperHero is a charging dock and backup solution for the Apple iPhone/iPod Touch. This brushed metal lined dock allows users to backup their photos and contacts from their devices to a SD card. The dock itself has a SD card slow and power adapter plug. The sole purpose of the Superhero is to act as an emergency charger and to be used as a fast and convenient backup device (in conjunction with the SuperHero application). The Iomega SuperHero's limited number of functions with respect to its price tag leaves a bit to be desired for, PC connectivity (via USB/Bluetooth) and media connectivity would have been worthy additions.

The ZTE Peel is an iPod Touch slider case featuring an integrated chip that provides access to Spring’s 3G networks, assuming of course the user enrolls in a monthly service plan from Sprint. It fits around an iPod Touch just like any other case, but it provides the aforementioned network connectivity. Plus it hosts the ability to function as a WiFi HotSpot for two other devices, whether they’re laptops, digital cameras, or even the notorious iPod. As for the cradling functionality, that’s clearly only limited to a 2nd or 3rd generation Apple iPod Touch device.

The miShare is a device that lets you connect iPods together and transfer music, videos or photos amongst them without the use of a computer or any cables. The miShare copies the latest file that was played on the iPod or can copy the whole On-the-Go playlist. The target iPod gets a new playlist called miShare Playlist that the target iPod can now access and play.

DRM Files

miShare maintains the security associated with any DRM files. Although the files are transferred to the target iPod, they will remain locked and require authorization in order to be played.

Compatibility

The miShare should work with any iPod that has a 30-pin connector.

The Yamaha YID-W10 is an iPod/iPhone system designed to provide a wireless connection between a user iPod or iPhone and a separately purchased RX-V667 A/V Receiver. The Yamaha YIT-W10 is an iPod/iPhone system designed to provide a wireless connection between a user iPod or iPhone and a separately purchased A/V Receiver. As a precursor to the 2010 YID-W10, the Yamaha YIT-W10 provides the same functionality, but supposedly a slightly weaker wireless connection and audio output. Like its counterpart, the device comes with a remote-control-like unit that attaches to the iPod/iPhone, after which users can walk around, but still control the attached A/V receiver, which itself is directly attached to the included docking station.
