The MSI P45 Series of motherboards use Intel's P4 platform, which is based on NVIDIA chipset. All the motherboards in this series provide a 775 socket, 1333/1600 FSB, 960 PlatinumD CPU support as well as dual and quad cores. There are six models in this series. At the high end there is the Diamond, Platinum and Platinum (HC), all of which are considered the flagship models and are the most expensive. In the mainstream, mid-range price are the Neo 3-FR, Neo2-FR and Neo-F models. The higher end products come with 2 Gen.2 (8x+8x), instead of the 1 Gen.2 found in the Neo series. All the models offered in this series comes with embedded software. MSI Live Update Online is feature that automatically download and update the BIOS and driver when a new version becomes available online. Live Updates 3 feature ensure the correct version is downloaded and saves the time needed to locate the file and upload it to every motherboard.
