MSi WindPad 100
$500.00
Released December, 2010
The Pros:Fully capable X86 computer based on Intel's Atom, 2GB RAM and a 32GB SSD. Runs a full Windows 7 install. HDMI out - for 720p video output.
The Cons:Feels cheap - made of plastic. Sluggish custom UI. Battery life will be poor due to the full Atom processor and unoptimized OS.
The MSi WindPad 100 is a large, 10” tablet made entirely out of plastic and weighing only 1.7 pounds. Outfitted with the Windows 7 operating system, the WindPad hosts a 1024x600 capacitive touchscreen display and includes an HDMI jack for outputting 720p video to a compatible HDTV set.

Featured on the WindPad is a 1.66GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 32GB solid-state drive (SSD). The system relies on the Windows 7 home Premium OS, but there’s a unique Wind Touch user interface embedded above the OS. Other than that, expected components include a webcam and USB ports.
