The Nakamichi MD-45Z contains a 24-bit high-resolution high-resolution D/A converter which strives to give an accurate reproduction of the original sound. The bipolar power supply has a DC-DC converter which helps handle peaks in the music while the digital outputs allow an external audio source to be connected and take advantage of the 24-bit D/A converters. The Nakamichi MD-45Z claims to be able to drive subwoofers without allowing the front/rear fader settings to affect it and diminish the bass.
