The first Lumileds LED backlit LCD monitor. Instead of using a built-in white-light fluorescent tube and using filters to create color, LED backlighting generates color using an array of 48 bright color-adjustable LEDs. The monitor promises to more accurately reproduce a true spectrum of colors. The technology behind this new breed of displays is provided by the Philips Lumileds Lighting Company.
