Netgear EVA2000 Digital Entertainer Live
The Netgear EVA2000 Digital Entertainer Live is a digital media streamer designed to handle almost any format thrown at it. It is in fact built to function wirelessly, but the purchase of an optional Netgear Wireless Adapter ($40.00) is necessary. The EVA2000 is geared primarily towards households with an HDMI-compliant television, as the unit includes only an HDMI interface and lacks other connectivity options like S-Video, Component, etc. And even then, the HDMI is limited to only 480p, which at least makes it useful for streaming content from the Internet. Additional features include support for YouTube, pay-per-view CinemaNow movies, and VuNow/PlayOn; a new video search tool that can “locate videos on the entire worldwide web”; and an included remote.
