The Netgear Stora MS2110 is an easy-to-use Network-Attached Storage device engineered to allow the average non-technical user to centralize photos, music, and files without difficulty. It relies on Ethernet and USB interfaces to link to a main PC, external HDD (extra-space), USB flash drive, iPods, or Smartphones. Once hooked up, its DLNA ability allows remote cross-platform file sharing, music listening, and movie watching from any Internet-connected device. In fact, users are recommended to use the GUI at www.MyStora.com, where they can designate certain users access to their at-home server. This way, a family member or friend can access a user’s music and videos from anyplace in the world via the site. Note that the Netgear Stora MS2110 comes prepackaged with ONE 1TB hard-disc drive; however, an additional SATA slot is available, as well as the option of utilizing a RAID-1 configuration to mirror and therefore keep a reliable backup of pertinent data.
