The ZBOX nano AD10 is a net-top computer from the Zotac company. The Apple Mac Mini is a computer with an extremely small form factor, allowing it to fit nearly anywhere. The Zotac ZBOX HD-ID11 is an eco-friendly, small-form-factor nettop (mini-PC) released in early 2010. It features an Intel Atom D510 (1.66GHz) processor and, even more importantly, an Nvidia Ion graphics processor with support for DirectX 10.1 with Shader Model 4.1. This allows users to playback high-definition video formats like AVC, VC-1 and Blu-ray discs. Included also is integrated Gigabit and WiFi connectivity for streaming HD Internet video, including Adobe Flash 10.1 content. Plus it supports dual-link DVI and/or HDMI v1.3a connections to monitors and televisions, as well as 7.1-channel digital surround sound. A barebones edition without an HDD, memory, or an OS retails for $239.99. There is space for only a single 2.5” drive and a single DDR2 DODIMM memory piece, but greater expansion can be achieved via USB, eSATA, and a memory card reader.

The Zotac ZBOX Blu-ray HD-ID33 is a mini-PC with an Intel Atom D525 processor and a Blu-ray disc player. Asus Eee Box

The Asus Eee Box is a compact desktop model from the Eee Box family of design and budget-centered computers. Based on the Intel 945GSE Express mobile chipset with integrated Intel GMA 950 graphic processing and an ICH7 Southbridge I/O controller hub (for SATA, USB and Gig-E LAN connections), the Eee Box is built on the Intel Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz with a 533MHz FSB) and includes 1GB of DDR2-400 system memory (although some 512MB RAM options are available as well in different models).

Upgraded in early December 2008, the Eee Box B204 and B206 include more powerful ATI Radeon graphics cards - allowing for HDMI output - ideal for high quality digital video and audio. The Eee Box B202 comes with 80GB of hard-drive storage space and is bundled with a mouse, keyboard and necessary power adaptors.

Information is currently limited, but it seems that this model will be an entry-level one, with a 2.93 GHz Intel processor and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. One advantage of this model is its inclusion of an HDMI out, and another is its slim form factor. Pricing information is unavailable but is expected to fall in the $200 - 300 range.

The Okoro OMS-GX300 is one of two home theater PCs (OMS-GX100, OMS-GX300) originally released in late 2008, but re-shipped in 2010 with the addition of an Apple iPad for Multi-Zone Audio control. In particular, the OMS-GX300 hosts a faster Intel Core i7-980X (3.33GHz) six-core processor, an improved ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics module and a 80GB Solid State and 4GB SATA hard drive combo, while maintaining its predecessor’s 6GB of DDR3 RAM. Like its counterpart, the Okoro OMS-GX300 is essentially a hybrid entertainment system and desktop, in that it hosts many PC components, but also adds along entertainment capabilities like a touchscreen display pad, an integrated analog & HDTV tuner/cable card for recording and pausing live TV like DVR (but without the fees), and multiple ports for connecting to a compatible HDTV set.

Like the S2, the S4 is Bluetooth 2.0 compatible, has Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, a Blu-Ray optical drive and an 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless card. Otherwise, the S4 holds a number of improvements over the S2, like: an AMD Athlon 4200+ (2.2GHz) Dual Core processor, a 500GB SATA hard drive, 4GB of DDR2 RAM and an ATI 3200HD GPU. The ASRock Core 100HT-BD is a small media Bare-Bones PC, called an HTPC, that is designed to be directly connected to an HDTV video source and is meant to be used in a living area or common room as opposed to the more traditional home PC office use. The ASRock Core 100HT is an extension of ASRock's lower end Core 100 and Core 100HT models. The ASRock Core 100HT is a small media Bare-Bones PC, called an HTPC, that is designed to be directly connected to an HDTV video source and is meant to be used in a living area or common room as opposed to the more traditional home PC office use. The ASRock Core 100HT is an extension of ASRock's lower end Core 100 HTPC model. The Core 100HT includes the same basic options and features with the exception of added Wi-Fi support and a native Windows MCE remote controller. The Core 100HT is powered by Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors (depending on model purchased) combined with the Mobile Intel HM55 Express chipset. The Core 100HT device supports up to 8GB total memory with 2 DDR3 memory slots that support up to 4GB in each slot; installed RAM depends of course on model purchased.

The ASRock Core 100HT features a mid-grade PC build with a mix of high-end and lower-end PC hardware components. The Tranquil T7-MP2 is a digital media center / nettop released in spring 2010. As a precursor to the superior ixVL, the T7 HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer) hosts a fanless design, a low-energy-consuming Intel Atom processor, and Nvidia’s ION graphics chipset. The combination allows it to transmit audio/video content to almost any screen via SPDIF, HDMI (1.3), DVI, and VGA ports; receive high-definition video footage from the Internet via Gigabit LAN and WiFi; and store large contents of files with USB/eSATA drives or the integrated SATA HDD (500GB – 1TB), although a solid-state drive is available as an additional feature. Moneual's 312 is a nettop PC and one of the company's entry-level models, designed for use with a home theatre system. It is intended for use with a TV as a media PC, and it has a baseline storage capacity of 500GB for storing downloaded media, as well as an optional blu-ray player and burner. It uses a fully wireless keyboard entry system, included, and has a built-in 8-channel surround sound processing unit to accommodate various sound setups. It uses Windows 7 as an operating system. The Compulab fit-PC is a tiny, silent, low-power computer. The fit-PC is roughly the size of a paperbook at 4.7" x 4.6" x 1.6" (120 mm x 116 mm x 40 mm) and weighs a mere 16 oz. (450 g). It features a fanless design, as its black anodized enclosure serves as a heatsink, dissipating heat into the environment. Moneual's MiNEW A10 is a nettop PC compatible with many different home setups, versatile for its small form factor. Its compact size is its main feature, at less than three inches thick and nine inches long. The Onkyo P3 is a nettop, a desktop that isn't designed to play high power computer games or to handle large loads - a nettop is designed to access the internet, do document processing, and to play multimedia all while delivering a tiny size and a inexpensive price. However the Onkyo P3 does not deliver the expected inexpensive price, instead it costs the same amount as a basic, more powerful computer. The cost seems to be because of the modular design of the netttop - it is built so the DVD-ROM is a separate piece that clips into the side of the Onkyo P3. The nettop has a decent 2GB of memory, 160GB of hard drive space, and an average 1.6GHz Atom 230 processor. Ignoring the unexciting choice for a processor, the nettop's insides match its sleek design.

The Asus EeeBox PC EB1012 is second of two nettops added to the EeeBox series in mid 2009. It is in fact the first EeeBox to incorporate nVidia’s ION platform; which gives it the power to better handle high-definition graphics without difficulty. Included also is an Intel Atom N330 dual-core processor (1.6GHZ per core), 2GB of DDRII RAM (upgradeable to 4GB), and a 160GB SATA-II hard-disc drive. The Acer Aspire Revo 3600 is a nettop from Acer that's built around Window's latest releases, and is the successor to the Revo 1600 and a slight downgrade from the Revo 3610. Compared to the 1600, Acer upgraded the processor to a dual-core while maintaining the affordable price of $330. The difference with the 3600 is that the 3610 offers N-wireless, while the 3600 is limited to B/G. The AspireRevo 3600 is powered by a dual-core 1.60Ghz Intel Atom Processor and uses Windows 7 Home Premium. It's video and sound quality is powered by NVIDIA's ION platform which provides high-definition video/audio processing and output. Functionally, the Moneual 320 home theater PC is very similar to the model just below it, the 312, and the only major differences are that this model includes a 3-in-1 card reader front port as well as a green-dot LED display on the front (the 312 has no display). It does not have front-mounted mic or headphone ports. It is intended for use with a TV as a media PC, and it has a baseline storage capacity of 500GB for storing downloaded media, as well as an optional blu-ray player and burner. It uses a fully wireless keyboard entry system, included, and has a built-in 8-channel surround sound processing unit to accommodate various sound setups. It uses Windows 7 as an operating system. The 320, like the 312, has an optional built-in digital tuner as well, and with this feature it can receive HDTV signals and record TV shows directly to its hard drive. The 902i is a home-theatre nettop PC and is one of Moneual's flagship models. Because of its numerous higher-end features, it can essentially function as a full desktop PC and accordingly has a high price point. It has a unique design, with an aluminum casing and emphasized ventilation, as well as a 7-inch built in touchscreen for navigation. The Aopen XC Mini GP7A-HD is a nettop exclusively released in late 2009 for the Japan market. It features Nvidia’s Ion graphics chipset alongside a regular Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which is unusual for a nettop. Considering the hefty combination — chipset + processor — the GP7A-HD also houses a custom cooling system with a copper processing heat-sink and integrated fan to ensure the system doesn’t overheat. Aopen made sure to keep the noise down to approximately 26dB, although a silent mode can be utilized during HD movie playback for less noise. Additional features to take note of include either an optional solid-state drive, an integrated DVD unit with the option of BD instead, and Gigabit Ethernet WITHOUT any included WiFi module.

Gateway QX2800

The Gateway QX2800 is a dual-core NetTop built as a competitor to Acer’s Aspire Revo, as well as the upcoming Revo 3600. It sports a dual-core Intel Atom 330 (1.6GHz); 2GB of base DRAM; and an nVIDIA ION chipset with a GeForce 9400M GPU that supports DirectX 10 API and 1080p HDMI. Unlike Acer’s models, the QX2800 hosts a larger 500GB hard drive. Other than that, the Gateway is nearly a duplicate of its competitor, as it also includes 802.11b/g/n connectivity, a multi-card reader, and an HDMI output. One notably large difference is that the Revo 3600 will be based off the new Windows 7 operating system; whereas the QX2800 will rely on the already-market-friendly Windows Vista Premium (Service Pack 1).

Nettops are very small, cheap, low-wattage desktop computers that are designed for easy tasks such as accessing the Internet, document processing, using web-based applications, and audio/video playback. The Msi Wind Box DE200 comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor, a 1GB SO-DIMM RAM, a ATI Radeon HD 4350 Graphics card, and a 160GB hard drive. The nettop comes with Windows XP installed. Though very similar to the DC200, the Windbox DE200 has a few additional features, such as an HDMI video output for HD video playback as well as discrete graphical support up to DX9.

The MSi Wind Box DC100 is a very lightweight and energy efficient PC designed to provide very basic computer users with a much cheaper alternative. The Wind Box DC100 takes its design from MSI's similar Wind Top series computers also designed to provide limited options to basic computer users. The DC100 features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom core processor combined with 1 GB of DDR2 memory. It also includes a 3.5" 160GB (7200RPM) hard drive, and integrated Intel 945GSE and ICH7-M chipsets. The slim design allows for extreme portability and easy placement with a mere 1.6L size. There is currently no listed MSRP or official release date of the device. The ASRock Ion 330Pro is a small media Bare-Bones PC, called an HTPC, that is designed to be directly connected to an HDTV video source and is meant to be used in a living area or common room as opposed to the more traditional home PC office use. The LG XPION X30 is an Ion-based portable nettop that debuted in Korea during September 2009. It is powered by nVidia’s ION graphics chipset, which is engineered to handle high-definition 1080p video playback without difficult. It features an Intel Atom 230 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard-disc drive. It will initially be retailing with Windows Vista, but an updated Windows 7 version is likely to appear by 2010. The MSi Wind Nettop 100 is one of the first computers out in the market to contain the Dual-Core Atom N330 processor. The advantage of this processor is that it runs at 1.6GHz but provides a larger multi-threaded processing power than other models running at the same speed. The downside of the MSi Wind Nettop 100 is it doesn't have the high end capabilities of other computers, meaning it is not the best choice for hard core gamers. One huge upside is the price, costing less than 200 dollars. The 160GB SATA hard drive is adaquate for any basic computing. Introduced on April 7th 2009, the Acer Aspire Revo 1600 is the first Nvidia ION powered nettop. Featuring a single core 1.6GHz Atom processor, up to 4GB of memory, up to 250GB of HDD space, and HDMI / VGA outputs, the AspireRevo is fully capable of playing the latest 1080p high definition media as well as current generation PC games due to its powerful ION GPU. The ASRock Ion s330 is a small media Bare-Bones PC, called an HTPC, that is designed to be directly connected to an HDTV video source and is meant to be used in a living area or common room as opposed to the more traditional home PC office use. The ASRock Ion s330 is the low end model in the Ion 300 series being only one step up from the base Ion 330 model, meaning it is outfitted with the basic features so users wanting more hardware components will need to upgrade to higher end models (Ion 330HT, 330Pro). Announced in November 2008 and further revealed in January 2009, the WindBOX is a miniature Atom-powered nettop from MSI. Featuring the standard 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of DDR2 memory, Intel GMA 950 graphics, and 702.11 b/g wireless, the thin form factor and ability to mount the unit to the back of a LCD monitor is what sets the WindBOX apart from the plethora of nettop options already available. Not unlike the Eee Box, the WindBOX allows users to save precious desk space and achieve a slimmer iMac like appearance with any VESA-compatible monitor.

Enano is a company goin against the trend of more, more, more when it comes to computers and released a set of desktop PCs that attempts to match your actual computing needs instead of offering up a lot of superfluous power - and energy consumption.

The eC4159 is a tiny PC that measures only 6 inches x 6 inches x 2.5 inches and weighs in at only 3 lbs. Although its 1.47 GHz CPU speed might seem paltry in comparison to the 3.2 GHz standard you see now, this PC is powerful egnough to watch movies, browse the internet, check email and do word processing, in other words, unless you use your PC for gaming or coding, it might be perfect for everything you need.

CherryPal C100 Desktop Cloud PC

The CherryPal C100 is a miniscule PC designed to surf the web, run iTunes, email, and edit documents. CherryPal claims no operating system, though a close look reveals it runs a stripped-down form of Debian GNU/Linux and boots up in 20 seconds. It uses two Watts of power, and is designed to last 10 years. A "cloud PC" means that most of the software is stored on servers on the Internet and managed by CherryPal. The CherryPal team manages all upgrades and installation for the user, and does the system maintenence. The user does everything through the browser. CherryPal also claims that it will never get a virus or be hacked because it has no OS, and all the software is stored remotely. The name comes from one of the first testers, who declared the Cloud PC to be "sweeter than Apple."

The Everex gPC2 TC2512 is the second generation gPC; it has not yet been released, but will likely supplant its predecessor as an affordable minimalistic desktop PC. The gPC2 will run on gOS v2.0 alternative operating system. This is just one way, Everex keeps costs down. The gPC2 does not make many upgrades to the original gPC, offering the same CPU, RAM, and video specifications. The hard disk now uses SATA-150 instead of ATA-133, though it is still 80GB. Like the original gPC, it is available at Walmart and various other online retailers for $199.

Asus EeeBox PC EB1006

The Asus EeeBox PC EB1006 is one of two nettops added to the EeeBox series in mid 2009. It is in fact the first EeeBox unit to incorporate a third-party graphics card (ATI Radeon) with a built-in hardware decoder; which gives it the ability to process high definition motion pictures and/or project them to a compatible HDTV set. Note that the EB1006 does not come with an optical drive, but a full-featured media player with a wireless remote is available as an optional accessory.
