The Nextar Q4 is an automotive GPS receiver designed to provide similar navigation and entertainment functionality to Nextar's M3 with a larger screen. The receiver features a 4.3" color touchscreen LCD display with day and night modes which adjusts the screen to the appropriate lighting conditions. It offers instant route recalculations and has a built-in speaker with text-to-speech functionality to provide voice-guided directions and turn-by-turn voice prompts. The Nextar Q4 comes preloaded with US maps, 1.6 million points of interest, and has 2D and 3D map viewing modes. It includes a 1GB memory card which can be upgraded for loading additional maps. It also has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for handheld navigation and has MP3 playing and photo viewing modes for in-car entertainment. The Nextar Q4 comes with a carrying pouch, stylus pen, various mounting hardware, and a 1 year limited warranty.

- 4.3" touchscreen display
- voice guided turn-by-turn directions, text-to-speech
- affordable price
- 2D and 3D map views
- good improvement over previous generation
- thin design
Cons
- no POI updates
- has a default set sleep timer - will shut itself down after a defined number of seconds
- lacks auto-zoom, appears as if you are not driving on anything once you turn off onto smaller roads
- little known brand
- lacks high end features such as Bluetooth compatibility, traffic updates, etc...
- low number of POI
