The Nikon Coolpix P90 is the top model in in Nikon's Coolpix Performance series, which is a line of digital cameras with advanced functionaly and greater versitility. The 24x optical zoom NIKKOR lens has a focal range from 26mm wide-angle through 624mm super-telephoto making it able to handle everything from landscapes, to group shots, to tight close-ups and the 12.1 megapixel resolution ensures faithful reproduction with fine details. There is a 3 inch vari-angle LCD monitor with anti-reflection coating which can be tilted 90 degrees upward or 45 degrees downward giving much more shooting freedom and versitility. Some other notable features include an image sensor shift VR (vibration reduction) image stabilization system, electronic viewfinder, scene auto selector, distortion control and 15 fps high-speed shooting capability. There is 47 MB of internal memory and a SD/SDHC memory card slot and it can be easily connected to a computer with the hi-speed USB port. It runs on a EN-EL5 battery which has a life of approximately 200 shots.
