The aluminum Nikon Coolpix S520 features a 3x Nikkor zoom lens and an 8.1 megapixel CCD sensor. It also offers optical image stabilization, facial recognition, in-camera red-eye reduction, 15 scene modes and a "favorite scene" option to bind your top 3 scene modes to easy access via buttons. Video capture can be done at 30fps VGA quality, and a time-lapse movie option is also available. Other imaging features include the Best Shot selector, which takes several photos in rapid succession and saves the sharpest image.
