The Nikon Coolpix S60 is an ultracompact that is dominated on the rear by a 3.5" LCD touchscreen. Menu selections and even setting focus target are accomplished via the touchscreen, rather than through buttons (the only buttons on the camera are the on/off and shutter release buttons). Resolution is 10megapixels, and the lens is an internally housed 5x optical zoom Nikkor lens. Users can choose from 15 scene modes, including a Portrait Mode that detects blinking and smiling to trigger the shutter at the right moment, or the camera's intelligent scene selection can make the decision. Optical image stabilization provides for sharp images even at slow shutter speeds.
