The Nikon Coolpix S630 is the top model in Nikon's Coolpix Style series, which is a line of sophisticated and stylish digital cameras. This camera blends an ultra-compact form with advanced 7x zoom NIKKOR lens allowing it to capture near and far images, while still being able to fit in your pocket or purse. The 12 megapixel resolution, quick start up time, short shutter-release time lag and all around optimized performance makes it easy to capture any moment with exceptional image quality. The Sport Continuous Mode offers the added benefit of shooting as many as 20 consecutive pictures at a rapid 11 frames-per-second to capture any moving action shot. There are four image stabilizing features which include Nikon's image sensor shift VR (vibration reduction) image stabilization, motion detection, ISO 6400 capability for quicker shutter speed and Nikon’s original BSS (Best Shot Selector) function automatically shoots a series of sequential frames and saves the one with the sharpest focus. The COOLPIX S630 is available in titanium silver, black, red and amethyst.

MSRP $330.00
Released March, 2009
Pros
- HD Video Quality is excellent! (in good light it is hard to tell the difference between this and my 1080p camcorder, in low light this is much grainier though)
- Good size. Small enough to pocket, not too small to handle and use.

Cons
- In anything but ideal light the pictures are noisy. (reduced to 50%, 6MP most pictures are sharp enough)
- No super-fine JPEG or RAW option. JPEG files are small (~2MB) but compression artifacts are often noticeable.
