- affordable price - similar cameras would have been over $1000 only 2-3 years ago
- RAW format support
- comparable image to the more advanced XSi - indistinguishable
Cons
- smaller screen, sensor and fewer AF points than the XSi
- fully featured DSLR will not be as simple as other cameras in the price range
- No video recording

- Easy to use for those trading up from a P&S digicam
Cons
- Don't bother shooting raw instead of jpg fine, as 6MP isn't a lot compared to 10MP+ dSLR/P&S competitors
