The Nokia 1200 is an entry-level handset, and like the earlier Nokia 1112 is intended for first-time cell phone users or those who require a phone at a low cost. It features multiple 200-entry phone books, SMS with multiple message sending, and a bright LCD screen that can function as a flashlight. It also includes a time tracking feature to monitor minute usage, as well as network-dependent cost tracking. It also includes T9 predictive text messaging support for more than twenty languages, as well as a built in speakerphone. It comes with three games and allows for downloadable polyphonic ringtones. Its battery life is longer than the earlier 1112. Some providers released a version of this phone locked to specific networks with the title Nokia 1200b.
