The Nokia 1662 is an entry-level candybar phone with basic but functional features. It is similar to the earlier Nokia 1208 as it still features a 65k color screen and dual-band reception. It features a redesigned, more stylized frame, and more basic calling functions like 3-way conference calling, speed dialing, and number screening. It also has more internal memory and can hold up to 250 SMS messages and up to 500 phone book contacts. It still includes the time tracking feature, but does not have cost tracking. Another major upgrade is that the 1662 has an FM radio receiver. The 1662 is still intended for people new to cell phones or on a budget, although its battery life is shorter than the earlier 1208.
